Freaky Friday
This past week was just weird, first since we got back from Christmas Tommy's schedule has been great he has every third day off so it worked out that he has every Monday and Thursday off and now they are only working one Saturday a month. So, Monday the 12th Tommy was off and we had to take Peyton to the doctor to check her ears and of course it's another ear infection so a weeks worth of amoxicillin which she does well with so no worries there but I really hate when she's sick or doesn't feel good. Peyton started back to school on Tuesday and she was all excited. I went and got my flu shot since they finally came in at the clinic her and since I have asthma I can't get the flu mist so I had to wait, so my arm was sore for a few days. Thursday started Tommy's long long weekend because it was third day so he had the day off then Friday was a training day for all the meps and they don't work on training days then the weekend off and now today for MLK so he had 5 days off in a row, which was nice but his knee had really been bothering him and unfortunately for him arthritis runs in his family and he has had it since he was younger and he went to the doctor and there is no cartilage left in his right knee so the doctor gave him some stronger meds for inflammation and he's going to start therapy but the last resort and mostly where it's heading is them scoping his knee. Ok, long story to get to the really weird day. On Friday we got up and was sitting in the living room watching Wall-E for the 100th time and our dog was laying in his usual spot on the love seat looking out the window and he started barking, so I got up to see if there was anyone outside because he sometimes barks at nothing but there was that day cops and they were coming to our house and sure enough knock, knock and there they were. What happened was that there was a 911 call from here and when they tried to reach us there was no response, our phone was out with no dial tone but the dish was working so I don't know the only thing I can think of is since we do live on base here the wires probably got crossed and the power blinks all the time.I know this is a long post to get to our weird day on Friday but the way the week was going why not have to cops show up and see what's going on. Sorry no pics, he he!!
